TAXPAYERS WILL SPEND $2011.93 TO SEND "ACTING" STATE LOTTERY “DIRECTOR” CAROLE HEDINGER, VIRGINIA HAINES’ NEIGHBOR AND CRONY, TO NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND FOR POSH SIX DAY VACATION JUNKET

Carole
Hedinger

Lawrenceville: Acting NJ Lottery “Director” Carole Hedinger, a resident of Toms River, has announced the taxpayers will spend $2011.93 to send her to a posh vacation hotel in Newport, Rhode Island for six days beginning June 10th.

Mrs. Hedinger, a neighbor and crony of former lottery “Director” Virginia Haines, candidate for the Dover Township Committee, was appointed by Haines to a $90,000 job as “Deputy” lottery director seven years ago as a part of the Christie Whitman political patronage recipients appreciation and enrichment crusade.

The Newport trip, which purportedly involves a “Spring Directors Meeting” of the NASPL, a state lottery self congratulatory “professional” mutual admiration society, is actually a transparent vacation junket.

Hedinger Hotel Stay To Cost Taxpayers
$201 Per Night: Meals Are Extra

The hotel, not including meals, will cost taxpayers $1004 for five nights, at an average cost of over $200 per night.

Taxpayers will pay extra for Mrs. Hedinger’s meals.

The Hedinger Newport junket, including a variety of “miscellaneous” expenses, will cost the taxpayers a total of $2011.93, according to Jaimee Gilmartin, “Public Information Officer” for the lottery department.

Ocean County citizens who regularly spend more than $200 per night plus meals and “miscellaneous expenses” for hotel accommodations in Newport will no doubt agree their money should be squandered this way.

Senior Citizens And Working Slobs May Take Exception

Virginia
Haines

But Senior citizens on fixed incomes and the other 99% of the working slobs who have to pay for their vacation trips themselves, (spending somewhat less than $200 per night “plus meals”) may take exception to Ms. Hedinger abusing their money in a way they could never afford to abuse it themselves.

Mrs. Hedinger didn’t say whether her husband, Leonard Hedinger, Chairman and Chief Squanderer of Public Funds at the Dover Sewer Authority (also appointed at the behest of Ms. Haines) would accompany her on the Newport junket, but the taxpayers have a right to hope.

103rd Out-Of-State Junket For Lottery Queens

This will be the 103rd out-of-state junket which Mrs. Hedinger, Ms. Haines and Lottery Marketing “Director” Linda Melone have taken at taxpayer expense since they became prime beneficiaries of the Whitman administration “one hand washes the other” patronage fulfillment program.
