What A Phoney!!

Clueless GOP Assemblyman Wolfe (Who Recently Gave Himself A 40% Pay Increase) Says Things Would Be Fine If McGreevey Didn’t Use The Helicopter So Much

Wolfe’s Criticism Comes After Former Gov. Whitman Said Governor McGreevey Should “Stop Whining” About The Mess She Left The State In

Wolfe, Whitman Policies Could Further Increase Property Taxes In Bricktown

Brick: Clueless Republican Assemblyman David Wolfe has issued a rare press release criticizing Governor James McGreevey for excessive use of a state helicopter.

Wolfe’s criticism comes after former Gov. Christie Whitman said McGreevey should “stop whining” about the mess she left the state government in, and get on with his program.

McGreevey, a Democrat, noted that Republican Whitman’s record includes a massive budget deficit (over $2.5 Billion) which left the state government virtually insolvent.

Whitman Record Included EZ Pass Scandals, Pension Fund Disaster, Out-Of-State Lottery Junkets, Huge Budget Deficit

Whitman’s record included the EZ Pass scandals, character assassination of GOP gubernatorial candidate Brett Schundler last year, an illegal $2.5 Billion State Budget Deficit, a costly and wasteful political patronage operation, dozens of costly out of state vacation junkets for patronage flunkies at the state lottery department, scandals at the state DMV over the Parsons mess, aggravated over-development and sprawl, a massive increase in the state’s debt, huge losses in stock market investments ($22 Billion), more traffic gridlock, excessive development, and near insolvency in the state’s pension system.

After Giving Himself A 40% Pay Increase And
Record Setting Pension, Wolfe Says McGreevey Spent
Too Much ($13,500) On “Helicopter Rides”

To put the whole thing in perspective, Republican Wolfe, a resident of Bricktown, who recently voted himself a 40% salary increase and will be “entitled” to one of the largest pension payoffs in Ocean County history because of Whitman’s generosity with other people’s money, criticized McGreevey’s “excessive use” of the gubernatorial helicopter, lamenting the expenditure of $13,850 for helicopter fuel in McGreevey’s first six months.

Wolfe and Other Republican Legislators Spent $13,500
Every Thirty Seconds In Lame Duck Spending Orgy

Wolfe and other Republican legislators capped off the Whitman-DiFrancesco years last December in a lame duck legislative spending orgy with a display of unabridged profligacy throwing taxpayers money away at the rate of about $13,850 every 30 seconds.

Wolfe helped to appropriate nearly every penny Whitman ever wasted and squandered.

Wolfe, Whitman-DiFrancesco Policies
Will Increase Taxes In Bricktown

Whitman’s fiscal mismanagement on the state level set the stage for enormous local property tax increases, including a probable $18 million annual tax increase which has already started in Brick Township and the Brick school system over the next several years.

The $18 Million potential Brick tax increase does not include an additional $8 million Brick tax increase ($55 Million in Ocean County) which could take place as early as next year because local governments and agencies will once again have to help fund the state pension system which Christie mismanaged and nearly bankrupted.

Former Republican mayoralty candidate John Barrett did not offer any comments on Wolfe’s criticism of the governor’s helicopter rides - or of the Whitman administration budget deficit.
