Response
To McGreevey’s Criticism Of Whitman: No Protest From Haines, Other
Political Flunkies Seeking To Stay On The Gravy Train
Dover
Township:
Virginia Haines, the Republican state assemblywoman who abandoned her
constituents early in her term to climb on the Whitman gravy train for an
inflated salary and pension arrangement at the state lottery department,
offered no comment on Democratic Governor McGreevey’s criticism of Gov.
Whitman and her successor, “Acting” Governor Donald DiFrancesco, for
leaving the state government a shambles.
Whitman
Record Included Huge Budget Deficit,
EZ Pass, Other Scandals
|

Christie Whitman |
Whitman’s
record, augmented by "Acting" Governor Donald DiFrancesco after she
resigned and left for environmental adventures in Washington D.C.,
included EZ Pass scandals, character assassination of GOP gubernatorial
candidate Brett Schundler last year, an illegal $2.5 Billion State Budget
Deficit, a costly and wasteful political patronage operation, scandals at
the state DMV over the Parsons mess, aggravated over-development and
sprawl, a massive increase in the state’s debt, huge losses in stock
market investments ($22 Billion), more traffic gridlock, excessive
development, and near insolvency in the state’s pension system.
Whitman
Says McGreevey Should Stop Criticizing Her Record
|

"Acting Governor" Donald DiFrancesco |
Whitman said
Governor McGreevey should stop criticizing her record of screwing up
nearly every aspect of the state government before she abandoned her New
Jersey constituents, left for Washington and turned the mess over to
“Acting” Governor Donald DiFrancesco who made it worse.
But the
Asbury Park Press and other media say McGreevey was right.
Whitman’s
patronage operation handed out big salaried jobs to every GOP political
flunkie in NJ, including former lottery “director” Haines, who helped the
former governor waste taxpayers’ money and destroy the morale of thousands
of career public employees in the process.
In addition
to other bad practices, Whitman victimized retired career public employees
with an eleventh hour change in legislation which handed the bulk of
pension payment increases to the same political flunkies she hired at
inflated salary and benefit costs.
Haines
Replaces “Mayor” Aldrich, After Manipulating
Him Off The Township Committee And Into A Job
With An Inflated Pension At The DMUA
|

Clarence Aldrich |
Haines, a
former Dover Sewer Authority Chairman who bragged about being a Christie
Whitman “confidant”, was recently appointed to the Dover Township
Committee to replace “Mayor” Clarence Aldrich, after she arranged for
Aldrich, who abandoned his elected office in June, to get a
“Superintendent” job at the Sewer Authority.
Haines, who
is now a Republican candidate for Aldrich’s committee seat, has good
reason to duck the role she played in Whitman’s awful record which she
will try to avoid like the Bubonic plague as she tries to persuade
Republican voters that she never even heard of Christie Whitman or Donald
DiFrancesco or Trenton.
Haines
Left DMUA With 2002 Operating Deficit
Now Estimated At $6.4 Million
Haines
resigned from the Sewer Authority (DMUA) in February. Her policies,
imitating Whitman’s grossly unbalanced budget and destruction of needed
reserves, left the sewer agency with a current year operating deficit now
estimated at more than $6 Million.
