Misleading And Inaccurate Campaign Flier Is Mailed To Gullible GOP

Republican Flier Mimics Clement-Sadeghi Letter That Lied About School
Board Tax Increase
Dover Township:
Earlier this year, 10,000 registered Republicans received a letter in
a mailing from School Board member Frank Sadeghi and Republican boss
Richard Clement.
The
expensive flier and letter, signed by Clement, urged voters to support
GOP School board members Meera Malik and Betty Vasil because,
according to Clement, “they funded education for the last three years
without a tax increase”.

Clement-Sadeghi School Tax Claim
Was An Outright Lie
The
claim, of course, was an outright lie because Malik, Vasil and Sadeghi
had just finished voting for a 3.8¢ tax hike, the biggest school tax
increase in three years.
But the
lie went unnoticed because nobody corrected it (not even Malik and
Vasil’s Democratic opponents in the April 16th School board election),
and GOP voters, suckered once again by Clement and Sadeghi, dutifully
went to the polls, obeying orders from GOP leaders who lied to them.
Latest Clement-Sadeghi Flier Omits
Important Items In Haines’ Resume
The
latest tainted Clement-Sadeghi flier contains, among other things, the
resume of GOP candidate Virginia Haines, which conveniently omits any
mention of her 12 year career as a Commissioner and Chairman of the
Dover Municipal Utilities Authority.
The
flier also leaves out the fact that Haines is currently a member of
the Dover Township Committee, appointed to that position by GOP
development interests under very murky and questionable circumstances.
Falsification And Suppression Of Important Public Documents
Haines
arranged to falsify and suppress important public documents at the
Authority, and doctor the DMUA record to arrange a “superintendent”
job there for former “Mayor” Clarence Aldrich so she could get
appointed to the Township Committee in his place.
Recently, her activities at the DMUA have been severely criticized by
Democratic candidates who have seized on the big Haines-generated
current year operating deficit of $6.4 million at the agency, and have
called for the dissolution of the authority.
Haines
and Clement may be ashamed of her career at the DMUA, but that is not
sufficient reason to omit her DMUA information from her resumé or,
even more significant, to also omit her current employment, the
ridiculous township committee appointment.

The Business World, If You Falsify Your Resumé,
You Generally Lose The Job
In the
business world, if you falsify your resumé and omit crucial
information, you generally lose the job, but in the topsy-turvy world
of Dover Township politics, you often get • • • • elected.
The
first recent tainted and inaccurate flier, promoted by Clement and
lawyer Harvey York in an effort to discredit the change of government
referendum, was distributed earlier this week at Lake Ridge, and
Wednesday night at the East Dover Homeowners Association. (for
