Councilwoman
Pat Moran |
Beachwood - Voters brushed aside water quality issues and re-elected
Mayor Hal Morris and Council members Patricia Moran and Greg Feeney by
300 vote margins.
Democratic candidates Tom Schiffermiller for mayor, and Bill Byrnes
and Joe Leo campaigned against delays in the installation of a new
water filtration system after numerous complaints from residents about
dirty water.
Republicans said the new filtration system would be installed by April
of 2003 following renovations to the old building housing the
borough's water plant.
