Polifroni Tells Of His Disgust At Meeting

Ortley Beach Leader Says “A Statesman Prepares For The Next Generation, A Politician Prepares For The Next Election; These Folks Prepare For The Next Pack Of Lies.”

Dover Township - Ortley Beach civic leader and OceanCountyPolitics Dot Commentator Dan Polifroni has attacked the Township Organizational meeting as “an experience of nearly complete disappointment because of elected officials who neglected the desires or the voting public.”

“It was a prefect example why only 43% of the public actually votes”, Polifroni said.

His statement follows: “A statesman prepares for the next generation, a politician prepares for the next election; these folks only prepare for the next pack of lies.

Russo Jr.: “Ego In Lieu Of Common Sense”

“The attack on voters rights and complete disregard by John Russo Jr., John Furey and the the Democrats involving nothing but ego in lieu of common sense, was offensive.

“This plus the obvious involvement of John Russo Sr. and George Gilmore and his two posse puppets, carving up the town to give taxpayers money away for everything but the pubic interest made me sick to my stomach.

“All of these politicians when looking in the mirror, obviously must have their eyes closed because they can't stand what they see. Another unforgivable trait of the five politicians on the dais was the constant alibying and lying for their actions defending the deal.

Kennedy Would Have “Disdain And Scorn”
For Gilmore, Russo And Holzapfel

“John Russo Jr. quoting Pres. Kennedy's 1961 quote. "It's not victory of party, but a celebration of community": President Kennedy would have nothing but disdain and scorn for the actions of Jan 2nd. If they wanted to give the local government away to Gilmore, Russo Sr. and Holzapfel, why didn’t they just say so and be done with it?

“The only joyful thought going through my head was that all of you five phoney politicians will be history in 12 months.

“Listening to all the name calling, “Judus”, “traitor” and the rest of the savory names, those names relate to all five of you politicians. In the old days you all would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town. Oh, for the good old days.

People Not Believing What They Were Witnessing

“There is a 30 minute video on the internet of the Jan 2nd meeting here on OceanCountyPolitics.com. You guys made history. I received phone calls from northern New Jersey from people not believing what they were witnessing.

“I have lost respect for all of you, your lack of credibility, your lack of common sense and your willingness to sell out the taxpayers to waste money on flagrant patronage appointments that do no one any good except the political hacks that get the money.

“Shameful Deal Is  A Betrayal Of My Vote”

“I view this shameful deal as a betrayal of my vote. I will work very hard as November approaches to cleanse the odor that this present dais has created.”
