“Doctor” Moriarty - What A Phoney!!
First He Violates His Own Rules; Then Lies About Other Democrats To Cover Up
The $500,000 Ocean County Two Party Conspiracy On Health Insurance Double
Dipping
Mayor Jason Varano, A Democrat, May Be
Nearly Unique Among Ocean County Public Employees In Rejecting Second Paid
Health Insurance Policy As Berkeley Mayor, But Dover Character Assassin Lies
And Calls Him A Double Dipper Anyway
SmearSite Never Mentions Former Berkeley Mayor Leake, A Republican And
World Class Double Dipper, Or Moriarty Stooge Richard Larsen, The Democrat
Who Was Fired For Charging The Berkeley Sewer Authority Nearly Double, While
He Calls For The Dissolution Of The Dover Sewer Authority To “Save Money”
Berkeley Township: Mayor Jason Varano receives a salary of
$8500, the lowest of any elected township mayor in Ocean County. The Mayor,
like numerous other American citizens who like to eat , also has a full time
job.
He is employed by the state government in the Department Of Environmental
Protection, also not particularly unique. The state government has thousands
of employees.
Double Dip Insurance Scam Costs Ocean County
Taxpayers An Extra $500,000 Every Year
What is unique about Varano is that unlike many other public officials in
Ocean County, Varano isn’t double dipping on expensive health insurance
policies, the scam that costs Ocean County taxpayers an extra $500,000 every
year.
100,000 Ocean County Citizens Can’t Afford
Even One Health Insurance Policy
More than 100,000 Ocean County taxpayers, including thousands of seniors,
can’t afford even one expensive health insurance policy, but dozens of
public employees are scamming these very same taxpayers and making them pay
for two, and sometimes three policies at a cost to taxpayers of up to
$17,200 each.
Who’s Going To Protect Consumers From
The Consumer Protection Director??
For instance, Kenneth Leake, a former mayor of Berkeley Township and Ocean
County’s Consumer Protection Director, has for the past four years been
making consumers pay double for the Health Insurance benefits he gets from
two government agencies for free.
Many Victims Of The Leake Scam Can’t Afford Health Insurance
As they pay twice for Leake’s two expensive duplicate medical coverages,
many of these same consumers are unable to afford even minimum health
insurance coverage for themselves.
What is worse, “Director” Leake, who runs the county’s program to expose
consumer abuses and go public with them, has never once advised the public
he has been committing one of the worst consumer scams himself.

Ken Leake |
OCUA Plunders Consumers Leake
Is Paid To “Protect”
As County Consumer Affairs Chief,
Leake gets free health coverage which costs Ocean County taxpayers $5379
annually, a cost that will soon go up by more than 20%.
He gets another “free” policy from
the Ocean County Utilities Authority, where he is a paid commissioner (the
highest county sewer rate in New Jersey) and grabs off a second “free”
health insurance policy at a cost to the taxpayers estimated to be about
$7200 in 2003.
Leake, like too many other greedy
bureaucrats, doesn’t need the second policy but, like the scam artists he is
supposed to be protecting consumers from, he grabs it anyway.
Varano Rejected Second Insurance
Coverage,
But Moriarty And Marshall Lied Anyway
The SmearSite of Dover Democratic
boss “Doctor” Jack Moriarty and racist former South Toms River Councilman
Stephen Marshall ignored Leake and many others who practice the extravagant double dip
scam and took aim instead at Mayor Varano: “Double dipper Varano is living high on
the hog while his senior constituents struggle to pay taxes and health care
expenses”, they charged, without a germ of truth to back up the allegation.
Mayor Varano: “Why Should I Rip
Off My Own
Community To Get Coverage I Don’t Even Need?”
Mayor Varano refused the township
health policy (he has never been a double dipper), and the taxpayers of
Berkeley Township are now saving about $9000 a year because of his honesty
and good common sense. “I don’t need two policies; why should I rip off my own community to
get coverage I don’t even need”, he asked? Good question.
If Double Dip Scam Was Eliminated
In Ocean County,
Taxpayers Would Save $500,000 Every Year
If everybody felt the same way, the
taxpayers of Ocean County would be saving another $500,000 every year.
The charge
against Varano, of course, is a blatant
lie among many blatant lies circulated by Moriarty, who may be trying to
give cover to another Berkeley situation involving one of his Dover Township
political stooges, Township Committeeman Richard “The Accountant” Larsen.
Larsen Tossed Out As Berkeley Sewer Authority Auditor
Larsen was recently tossed out as
auditor for the Berkeley Sewerage Authority when it was discovered that
Larsen was charging the Berkeley authority nearly twice as much as the
accountant for the Dover Municipal Utilities Authority charges the DMUA, the agency Larsen
wants to dissolve “to save money.”
More on Larsen and Leake and Moriarty
and the double dippers soon on OCP.
