Lies And Dirty Tricks At
Centenarian’s Birthday Party Reminiscent Of The “Four Lies In One Sentence”
Furey Fiasco Of Last December
Dover Township:
Township Committeeman “Doctor” John Furey,
Democratic candidate for Mayor and owner of the worst attendance record on
the township committee, has now reiterated his intention to lie about
important issues - and less important ones, too - when he thinks no one is
looking.
Last December 6th, OCP reported that Furey
became so overwhelmed with himself that he blurted out four separate and
distinct inaccuracies in a single compound sentence.
Four Lies In One Sentence
The four lies in one sentence were connected
to the Democrat plan to dissolve the Dover Municipal Utilities Authority and
turn the authority’s assets over to the township committee so the
authority’s reserves could be used to subsidize the township’s bloated
expense budget.
Details on the four lies can be found in our
article published December 6, 2002 which the gentle reader can access with
the Click-To device at the conclusion of this article.
Furey
Is Still At It
Furey is
still at it; he surfaced at a centenarian’s birthday in the senior citizen
complex on Highland Parkway two weeks ago, where he was asked by an elderly
relative of one of the DMUA employees why he was threatening to dissolve the
DMUA, when the agency has such a good record.
Furey’s
answer was revealing: the DMUA employees would be better off working for the
township because the township would pay higher salaries, bigger pensions and
more expensive benefits if the DMUA employees were working for the township.
Dissolution Program Would Add To The Cost
Of Doing Business:
Raise Both Taxes And Sewer Rates
Furey’s
answer was either untrue or a frank acknowledgement that his proposed
dissolution program would add to the cost of providing sewer service
- not reduce it.
It would also be inevitable that the DMUA
takeover planned by Furey and fellow Democrat committeeman Richard Larsen
would lead to a huge sewer rate increase and a big tax increase as soon as
the two of them finish squandering vital reserves and playing Santa Claus
with ratepayers’ and taxpayers’ money.
Ironically, the person who gave Furey the
birthday party platform was none other than Beachwood Council chameleon
Robert DiBella, who changed parties three times within the last eleven
months.

"Shocked" |
Cheap Shot: DiBella Says Mayor Russo Was
Invited,
But The Record Shows Otherwise
In a cheap shot if there ever was one, DiBella,
sucking up to Furey and trying to be a Democrat again, told guests at the
100th birthday party that Mayor John Russo was invited, but refused to
attend.
A quick check with town hall showed DiBella
was making up stories again, since Mayor Russo wasn’t even aware of the
party, and there was no record at the mayor’s office of any invitation
having been received.
DiBella’s
wacky tendency to make up stories came to a head recently when he surfaced
with a cornucopia of wild allegations that he was so unsure of that he sent
them to the state attorney general instead of calling the police or hailing
the prosecutor.
Captain Renault Is "Shocked"
Captain Renault, hearing of the most recent
inexactitudes on the part of Furey and DiBella on the short wave in Rick’s
Cafe, declared he was “shocked” that Dover Politicians were lying again.
