Dear
Greg,
Last year, GOP Chairman George Gilmore told me we faced a real battle of "Good vs Evil" here in Dover.
The voters of our community were
confronted with the extortion investigation of the sinister "Doctor" Jack Moriarty
and the antics of his puppets, Richard Larsen and John Furey.
The voters and citizens are still facing
the same foes, this time in the persons of Mayor Brush and his
joined-at-the-hip accomplice, Sal Mattia, and I see no attempt thus
far at "good government" from any of the elected officials on the
Mayor and Council.
No-Bid Appointments
I see a lot of expensive no-bid appointments being made to cronies and
financial contributors, and so does the public.
No one from the "great unwashed" ever contacts you except in open
session at town hall. I am written to and telephoned constantly. I am
writing because I consider you a friend.
The talk at this level is that the Town Council is complicit in the
MattiaBrush Pay-For-Play flood that is taking over the township.
Recall Imminent?
There is serious talk among the people that created your very Council
position, about recalling the entire new government.
Leading Dem Says Brush Wants To Dissolve The DMUA
I have been called
directly by a leading Democrat who tells me MattiaBrush wants to
dissolve the DMUA!
Wednesday's press had a letter from the evil Dr. Moriarty defending
and praising John Furey! We re-printed the letter in yesterday's
edition. Mattia is now the head of the Democrats!
What The Hell Are The Republicans Doing???
I realize that you think warring in town hall is indecorous, and it
is, unless it is in the defense of the people's interests.
Inteso got re-elected! Fiure got reelected! They fought the good fight
all year! Ocean County Politics supported the Dover First Team.
I do not want to be embarrassed that I supported the Pay-For-Play
Stewards of 2004! Let's get back to traditional party principles.
Let's
enact true good government, or let us wear the egg on our face and the
tar and feathers of a recall!
We Are Bringing It On! (A TV Set To Answer MattiaBrush Lies)
I am bringing a TV set to town hall this coming Tuesday. MattiaBrush
lied about his campaign pledges and challenged me to "Bring It On!"
Video Tape Does Not Lie
We have already mounted the tape online if you care to review it, but
I believe I have a right as citizen to answer the Mayor's rude and
arrogant challenge.
Please feel free, in fact I truly suggest that you call me. I will be
here all day today.

Note: Council President McGuckin actually called me back shortly after
my E-Mail went out. He was very cordial, and promised to follow up
within 24 hours. He paid a visit to our offices on Saturday, and we
talked about the issues I raised, and our hopes for the new
government.
He
promised to provide answers for all of our questions and, while we
obviously do not agree on the Republican Council's actions on
play-to-pay and the big spending
increase
which is contrary to everybody's
campaign promises, McGuckin said he would address all of our concerns
in due course.
"KEEP The DMUA"
Is Council Pledge
One issue he
was adamant on is the impending proposal by Mayor Brush for the
dissolution of the DMUA, as reported by prominent Democrats earlier
this week. McGuckin said the council has already discussed this issue,
and decided the DMUA would NOT be dissolved under any circumstances.
So 50,000 DMUA
ratepayers, benefiting from the lowest sewer rate in North America,
can breathe easier, at least for the time being.
We are now
trying to arrange a video conference with McGuckin similar to the one
we put up earlier this week with former Mayor Russo. We have offered
this opportunity to Mayor Brush several times, but he has repeatedly
disrespected the 8000 regular OCP readers, about half of whom live in
Dover Township, by refusing to have anything to do with our
newspaper, saying we are not a REAL newspaper.
We will find
out on Tuesday if MattiaBrush is a REAL mayor. Our thanks to Mr.
McGuckin for answering his mail.
