Berkeley Township: After publishing a second pack of obvious lies about the OceanCountyPolitics WebSite and OCP editorial board members, Central Regional school board candidate Richard Ciullo circulated a campaign biography that omits his recent election as Vice-President of the political organization that has distributed expensive taxpayer-funded no-bid "professional" patronage jobs to Republican campaign contributors, many of whom do not live in Berkeley Township.

Ray Is Also GreedClub Trustee

A similar cover-up is being carried out by Republican campaign stooge Robert Ray, also a central school board candidate, in connection with his status as an officer in the GOP GreedClub.

Amato and Ray are two of six GreedClub trustees; Ciullo is GreedClub Vice President, and Anthony DiPaola, Vice-President of the Berkeley School board, is the Republican GreedClub president.

Amato Et Al Hand Lucrative Jobs To Powerful Republicans

Central Regional Board President Amato has been instrumental in handing lucrative patronage appointments to powerful Republican politicians, and has received a series of big salary increases funded by the taxpayers, many of which were double, triple and even quadruple the increases received by average county employees who were not in a position to hand out goodies to political cronies.

Cover-Ups Are Bad News For Berkeley
Taxpayers, Especially Seniors

The cover-ups are bad news for Berkeley taxpayers, including 25,000 seniors, because the GreedClub connections have been very expensive for the two school boards.

Yezzi Gets $$$ As Taxpayers Pay For Every Change Order

A good example is billionaire architect Massimo Yezzi, who has submitted numerous change orders and has participated in significant cost over-runs in connection with Berkeley school projects.

Yezzi, whose recent financial triumphs include a $612,000 politically-inspired payoff (which may eventually reach $850,000 or more) for the design and inspection of the Ocean County Vocational School "Marine Academy," got his big Berkeley paydays through the GreedClub connection.

More Soon On Berkeley Cronyism And Political Payoffs

We'll have more information on the manipulations and cronyism and political payoffs in the political swamp created in the Berkeley School Boards (which candidates Ciullo and Ray will obviously make even worse) but first we indulge ourselves in a correction of one of the more obvious "mistakes" published by candidate Ciullo.

Concealed Connection With GreedClub

When OCP pointed out that Ciullo and his running mates were concealing their connection with the Republican GreedClub (they didn't even have the character to include their status as GreedClub officers in campaign biographies on their own WebSite) Ciullo and his wacko collaborateur, South Toms River SmearSite operator Steven Marshall, came roaring back with a tidal wave of lies

Ciullo Has His Facts Wrong Again

Among the more obvious lies was the "charge" that Promotional Specialties proprietor Robert K. Haelig Jr., an OceanCountyPolitics DotCommentator, was trying to blackmail or intimidate Ciullo into buying campaign materials from his company by sending Ciullo advertisements in the mail.

Never Sent Ciullo Anything In The Mail

Haelig said he had never sent Ciullo anything in the mail.

"Our first general 2004 mailing, a statewide package to candidates all over New Jersey, will not go out for another month," Haelig said.

"Mr. Ciullo may even have us mixed up with Promotional Advertising Specialties, a worthy and respected competitor who may or may not have sent advertisements to the Ciullo campaign," Haelig said.

Wise For Ciullo And Marshall To Check Facts?

"In any event, to avoid looking foolish in the future, it might be wise for Mr. Ciullo and Mr. Marshall to check their facts before running off at the mouth and making ridiculous charges related to information that is so easily checked and verified," Haelig said.
