Republican Club VP
R. Ciullo |
Letter From Campaign Flack Gina Vispoli Says Ciullo, Ray Are "Leading
The Effort To Gain More State Aid" And "Have Already Begun The Efforts"
For Tax Reform, BUT The Record Shows No Such Thing, Except Claims Are
More Ciullo Fabrications
Berkeley Township Education Association, Operating Purely Out Of Civic
Duty, Endorses GreedClub Slate
Berkeley Township:
The latest tidbit from the Berkeley Republican GreedClub school board
election campaign illustrates the lengths to which GreedClub Vice
President Richard Ciullo will go to pull the wool over the eyes
of potential voters, especially Berkeley Seniors, whom he
regards as gullible and easily fooled.
Seniors Want Tax Reform
And State Aid Increases
Property tax reform and
increases in state aid to schools are important objectives of many
seniors, particularly those on fixed incomes that won't easily support
more school tax increases.
Faced with this
conundrum, candidate Ciullo and his GOP running mates were not
satisfied simply to state their positions on these issues: they felt
compelled to claim a status of leadership on tax reform and state aid
enhancement, claims that were - and are - as far from the simple truth
as you can get.
No One Would Believe
"Leadership" Claims
So Ciullo And Ray Trot Out A Shill
But no one would believe
them if they made the "leadership" claims for themselves, so they
trotted out a spokesperson (Gina Vispoli) who made the ridiculous
claims in their behalf in a letter that was printed in the Asbury Park
Press and the Ocean County Observer.
False Claims About
Non-Existent "Leadership"
Ms. Vispoli's letter,
coincidentally composed in Ciullo's slippery, patronizing style,
claimed the following:
"Ray and Ciullo • • • •
already have begun the efforts to force the state of New Jersey to
bear more of the economic responsibilities to support our local
schools other than through our property taxes."
A nd
this gem: "They are leading the effort to gain additional state aid so
we, as taxpayers, will see a reduction in property taxes."
Baloney Twice - Baloney
Squared - And Ciullo's Campaign Bio Still Doesn't mention He's
GreedClub VP
Baloney twice. Baloney
squared. More phoney Republican GreedClub campaign propaganda - and
all of it completely untrue. Sorry, but there hasn't been any effort
or leadership as claimed by Ms. Vispoli.
Ciullo, by the way, is
still withholding his status as the new Berkeley Republican GreedClub
Vice president from the "Community Activities section (or any other
section) of his campaign biography.
Ciullo & Ray Are Not
Leaders In Tax Reform Or Anything Else
The point, of course, is
that Ciullo and Ray are not leaders in tax reform, or state aid, or
anything else, and there is nothing that Berkeley seniors can expect
from them regarding leadership on these issues, especially if Ciullo
continues to dissimulate about every important aspect of a prospective
service as school board members.
Taxpayers Beware - Especially Seniors
BTEA Endorses GreedClub Candidates
If you're looking
for a real barometer of what is likely to happen if Ciullo and his
colleagues are elected to the Berkeley school boards, consider that
all six Republican candidates for the two school boards have been
endorsed in an expensive campaign mailing by the prudent and
conservative custodians of the public purse in the leadership of the
Berkeley Township Education Association.
Had
Nothing To Do With GreedClub
Support For Expensive Labor Contracts
The BTEA
endorsement was made out of the milky kindness of the BTEA's little
pea-pickin' hearts, and had nothing whatsoever to do with the
GreedClub's support for the most expensive and economically damaging
labor contracts in Berkeley history.
However, if you
are a senior citizen, don't expect to receive a copy of this
endorsement unless you are also a Republican or a former teacher or
school board employee.
Let's Not
Carry Things Too Far
The BTEA doesn't
want you to get overly excited about voting Tuesday, unless you're in
a politically correct frame of mind and can display the proper level
of gratitude to Ciullo and Ray and the others.
Seniors
Should Be Grateful For 1 1/2% Social Security Hikes
In a related
development, thousands of Berkeley Seniors are still pondering the
very generous 1 1/2% increases they received this year in their social
security checks, and mentally merging information about the 5%, 6%,
and 7% salary increases doled out to teachers and school employees and
GreedClub officers at a time when inflation is averaging about 1 1/2%.
