Toms
River: We received the
following E-Mail from a disgruntled member of the Dover Township
Republican Club, the one controlled by Rick Clement, soon to be
anointed Chairman Of The GreedClub Board of Directors with the
selection of a figurehead president:
The
E-Mail:

10th
District
Assemblyman James Holzapfel |
"Did you know that
Rick Clement takes an $18,000 per year salary from the office of
Assemblyman James Holzapfel?
Is this protection money?
Here's your cash; now protect my contracts. Funny, I've never seen
Boss Rick doing a thing for the citizens of the 10th District except
find creative ways to waste their tax money."
Signed: Turkey Farmer.
We Protect Our Sources
It is our intention to protect the identity of "Turkey Farmer" because
the Clements are reputed to be among the most vindictive and revengeful
individuals on the planet.
Glenn Says Clement Is Employed,
But Only For $6000
We called the
10th District legislative office to check
this out, and we were told by a staff member who identified himself as
"Glenn" that Boss Clement was, indeed, on the staff, but
only, according to "Glenn," for a meager $6000, not $18,000.
Where Did The $18,000 Salary
Number Come From?
Mrs. Clement Never Made The Required Disclosure
We'll
continue to check to see where the $18,000 number came from. The issue
is significant because Deborah Clement, Boss Clement's wife, failed to
make the required full and complete public disclosure of the Holzapfel
connection when Holzapfel's appointment as labor counsel came up at
the Dover Municipal Utilities Authority recently. Mrs. Clement is a
DMUA Commissioner.
Scathing Asbury Park Press
Editorial Says Brush, Republican Council Are"
A Textbook Example Of Pay-For-Play Run Amok."
The
Asbury Park Press recently published a scathing lead editorial which
said that Dover Township has become the pay-for-play capital of New
Jersey, and chastised Democrat-Independent Mayor Paul Brush and the
all-Republican Council for "a textbook example of pay-for-play run
amok."
More Press Scrutiny For Dover
Township?
Does
this lead editorial mean the Press is going to put additional focus on
Dover Township? There is nothing like a little public scrutiny and
accountability to make public officials pay at least a minimal amount
of attention to the public interest.
The
Republican Council, mainly composed of reasonably honest and
forthright people, has sold out to the apostles of greed, and the most disreputable political payoffs:
financed, of course, by the taxpayers.
Money, Position, Political
Promissory Notes,
Fifteen Minutes Of Fame
This
has been done in some cases for money, in others for position and
political promissory notes, and still others for their fifteen minutes
of fame.

Mo Hill |
Councilman Mo
Hill, Retired Admiral
Take Mo Hill, for
instance: Mo is a retired navy man who has the rank of Rear Admiral,
Retired.
Mo is Ward III Councilman in Dover Township, a public official who, when he
was a candidate, promised the highest integrity of public service.
Mo is part of the
same Navy that has taken the brunt of the casualties in Iraq via the
US Marine Corps.
Sacrifices To
Preserve The Highest And Best Traditions?
Presumably these
sacrifices are being made to preserve the highest and best traditions
of American government, the Bill Of Rights and all that. This is a
time when we should expect good public policy and scrupulous integrity
to be the rule instead of the exception..
