Chairman Potter May Step Down
After Selling Out The Democratic Ticket Last Year
Mayor Harold Morris and the
Beachwood Council looked over the choices Wednesday and picked
the one combination that would allow Morris to receive a
useless but lucrative position with the county government in
exchange for naming Freeholder James Lacey as the borough's
first administrator.

Gilmore |
The costly job exchange
(taxpayers money, of course) was set up by Axis-Of-Greed
coordinator Chairman Chairman Chairman George Gilmore, the
Republican boss who controls just about everything that moves
in Ocean County, including the entire election process and
what remains of the conscience of the worthless Democratic
"opposition."

Speaking of the loyal opposition (loyal to Gilmore and his
patronage promises, certainly not the Democratic Party), the
PoliticsNJ
WebSite
reports that County Democratic Chairman Frederick Potter may
step down soon for health reasons.
Potter Sold
Out His Own Candidates
Potter dismantled the Democratic
county campaign in June of last year and threw three good
freeholder candidates under the bus to suck up to Gilmore in a

organizational," PoliticsNJ says, Potter "may be
looking to call it quits, a development that might produce a
soap-opera quality succession battle."

One of the possibilities to
replace Potter is Pine Beach Mayor Russ Corby, but Corby has
one big drawback for Democratic leaders who depend on the
majority Republicans to provide patronage crumbs: Corby might
actually try to win in a year when the Democrats might have a
shot with Sen. John Corzine at the head of the ticket.

Public Defender, Prosecutor,
all-around Axis-Of-Greed handyman lawyer Joseph Coronato,
Chairman of the Republican county committee in Dover Township,
is still obstinately withholding committee financial records
from the committee membership.

Jos. Coronato Esq. |
Coronato's law firm may earn more than $800,000 a year in pay-to-play political payoffs
from weary public treasuries all over the county, but he won't
honor fundamental Republican full disclosure and
accountability principles by making basic financial records
available to elected committee members who have requested
them. And, he has never permitted a treasurer's report.
