Gilmore-Clement Axis-Of-Greed Political Flunkies Wrecked DMUA Finances Despite Vigorous Objections From Veteran Commissioner

Bellu, Mrs. Clement, Acropolis Partner Bilotta, Benyola, Mrs. Yezzi, Five Of The Worst Public Officials On The Planet, Gave Once-Productive DMUA $5.3 Million Current Deficit

Dover Municipal Utilities Authority Commissioner Robert K. Haelig Jr. is a Republican reform leader in Dover Township.

Commissioner
Robert K. Haelig Jr.
Set Conservative Fiscal Policies, Never Missed A DMUA  Meeting In 25 Years

More than 20 years ago, he saved the DMUA from insolvency after years of bad management by a prior Democrat administration. He cut the authority's bloated budget, fired all of the political hacks from their useless jobs, and installed a $225 sewer rate which has remained stable since 1984.

Perfect 25 Year Attendance Record

In the 25 years he has been a DMUA commissioner, he has never been absent for an authority meeting, the only perfect 25 year attendance record in New Jersey history.

Best Public Official Ever To Hold Office In Dover?

Haelig may be the best public official ever to hold office in Dover Township, and he is hopping mad about the way that greedy, cynical political bosses and their flunkies at the DMUA have trashed his handiwork and given the agency the worst single-year operating deficit ($5.3 million) in the history of local government in Ocean County.

Things began to change three and a half years ago when Haelig, who had conservatively steered DMUA finances for twenty years, was out-voted 3-2 on a motion to begin wasting vital reserves to buy votes in Republican election campaigns.

So Did Hedinger

So Did Wnek

So Did Double Dippin' Debbie: But, What Else Is New?

It was a case of "round up the usual suspects as former DMUA chairman Virginia Haines, former mayor Paul Wnek, former commissioner Leonard Hedinger and the wife of Republican Boss Richard C. Clement, Deborah "Double Dippin' Debbie" Clement, began prostituting their oaths of office by selling out one more time to the Axis-Of-Greed.

Haelig Ran DMUA In
The Black For 20 Years

When Haelig ran DMUA finances, the agency operated in the black for 20 years and kept the $225 rate, installed by Haelig in 1984, stable.

But the cartel of greed and political prostitution that started in 2001 ran the DMUA into a river of red ink that produced a combined three year operating deficit of more than $8 million by 2004, threatening the stability of the $225 rate.

Mrs. Clement Reappointed To A Five Year Term Despite Conflicts, Bad Judgement

Then the township government changed and new commissioners were appointed, along with Mrs. Clement, who was reappointed by the Republican council to a new 5 year term despite troubling conflicts-of-interest, a history of bad judgement, and her status as a terrible public official and double dipper grabbing expensive coverage from two publicly-funded health insurance policies.

Haelig Agreed To Become '04 Chairman If Conservative Fiscal Policies Were Restored

Also reappointed, but only for a two year term, was Commissioner Haelig, who agreed to become chairman of the authority in 2004, but only after receiving assurances from GOP County Chairman George Gilmore who ordained most of the new appointments, that conservative fiscal policies, guided by Haelig until June of 2001, would be restored.

Gilmore's "Commitments" Trashed By
His Flunkies At The Very First 2004 Meeting

The Gilmore commitments, trashed at the very first 2004 meeting by Axis-Of-Greed flunkies Juan Bellu, Joseph Bilotta, Anthony Benyola and Mrs. Clement, turned out to be worthless, and the river of red ink turned into an ocean of political prostitution as a series of low-life policy decisions, with Haelig on the short end of numerous 4-1 votes, produced a $5.3 million operating deficit for 2005, the largest annual deficit for any local agency in Ocean County history.

The agency will hold it's annual meeting Tuesday evening and pick a new chairman who, according to Haelig, "will be hand-picked by Gilmore and Boss Clement to enact bad policies and make the destruction of our finances complete."

Haelig: "I Will Attend The
   Meeting And Hold My Nose"

"I'm not their errand boy and I'm not going to loan them Republican respectability and credibility again as figure-head chairman," Haelig said.

"I will attend the meeting and hold my nose," he said. "They are there only to validate their own greed, and to sell their souls to Gilmore and the political process they corrupted," he said.

Which of the Gilmore/Clement flunkies will be the chairman?
