Juan Bellu with "another extravagant misrepresentation" |
Claims by Juan Bellu, the new Chairman
of the Dover Municipal Utilities Authority, that he’s going to
“continue” to do things “properly” is another extravagant
misrepresentation because Mr. Bellu and the other political hacks who
are now in charge in Dover Township haven’t done things “properly” in
several years.
Bellu, Other
Republican Club Hacks
Gave DMUA $5.3 Million Deficit For 2005
The DMUA now has a $5.3 million current
operating deficit because Mr. Bellu and other mindless appointees of
the local Republican Club and its political bosses are more interested
in funding the political patronage operation than in sound Republican
policies.
Wrecked Open Space
Program With Crony Giveaways
When Mr. Bellu was a member and chairman
of the Dover Township Planning Board, he approved thousands of housing
units and drove up prices of open space properties so a good open
space program was trashed in favor of minimal acquisitions at
unacceptable prices to make a few campaign contributors even richer
than they already are.
The Republican council members who
appointed Mr. Bellu to the DMUA last year have, along with the
Democrat mayor they control, given us the biggest spending increase in
the township’s history along with one of the largest tax increases
ever.
Bellu, New Government
Officials "Sold Out The Residents"
The problem with Mr. Bellu and the new
government that once had so much promise is they sold out the
residents who elected them in favor of generating huge profits for a
few political bosses.
Nothing For The Taxpayers But Big Tax Bills
It’s a
disgrace that taxpayers in Dover Townshipare getting nothing but big
tax bills in return. And, after stable rates for 20 years, the DMUA
will have a big rate increase - sooner rather than later.
