At the hearing on a $2.5 million bond issue to install
artificial turf on three high school football fields,
Councilman Gregory McGuckin, a Republican candidate for
re-election, charged that OceanCountyPolitics
featured a photograph of his 12 year old daughter as part of a
story on the turf bond controversy.
"You chose to take a picture at a private meeting of my
daughter and post it on your web site," McGuckin said,
pointing at OCP editor Richard Schiff and
OCP commentator Robert K. Haelig Jr., neither of whom
even knew at the time what McGuckin was talking about.
Charges Appeared On Ciullo SmearSite Within Hours
The McGuckin allegations were shown to be serious distortions,
but a few hours later,
the focus of his charges became crystal clear
when an article on the turf hearing appeared on a Berkeley
Republican web site.
Neo-Nazi Propaganda Techniques
The GOP web site is operated by Richard Ciullo, the Central
Regional school board member and GOP Club vice president who
regularly uses Neo-Nazi propaganda techniques to spread
misinformation and baseless allegations about critics of the
no-bid contract recipients who finance his web site.

Gilmore
Funded Berkeley GOP SmearSite |
Among pay-to-play champs, the Ciullo web site is directly
funded by Republican County Chairman George Gilmore, a no-bid
contract lawyer, and funded indirectly by McGuckin's law
partner, County Republican Finance Chairman Jerry Dasti, also
a no-bid contract champion.
Nasty Little Smear Worthy
Of The Axis-Of-Greed
McGuckin's turf hearing charges represented a nasty little smear worthy of the Axis-Of-Greed
lawyer who initiated it and passed it on to Ciullo to cover up his connections with the
Gilmore-Dasti pay-to-play no-bid contract dynasty.
False Innuendo Against OCP Cameraman
Among numerous false and contemptible allegations in Ciullo's
smear article was the following innuendo against the OCP
camera operator, who has a family in Toms River:
"Why was videophile Earle late?" Ciullo asked in the smear
funded by Gilmore, "traffic, car trouble, or was it another
opportunity to videotape a twelve year old?"
Contemptible Ciullo Neo-Nazi Distortion
Or this contemptible distortion from the Ciullo turf article:
"If you are out and about with your pre-teen daughter, and see
a guy with baseball cap, sunglasses, unkempt facial hair, and
a video camera, RUN FAR and RUN FAST."
The vile inferences, all lies, were very clear, and
reminiscent of some of the dark times of the 20th century.
Just Another Grimy Little Cyber-Creep?
Is Ciullo just another grimy little cyber-creep with bad
breath?

Clement, As Usual, Is One Of The
Usual Suspects |
Maybe. But Ciullo is funded by the Republican County Chairman,
and he is being aided and abetted by McGuckin's campaign
managers Juan Bellu and Virginia Haines, and GOP Greed Club
Chairman, former police chief Richard Clement.
Ciullo Lies Mirror Goebbels In The 1930's
|

National Socialist Propaganda
Minister Joseph Goebbels |
National Socialist Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels earned
his reputation as a vicious liar and character assassin back
in the 1930's by denouncing as perverts and pedophiles
everyone who disagreed with Nazi policies.
It was a handy device then, and Ciullo apparently thinks it
will work here and now to imply through not-so-subtle innuendo
that critics of Gilmore, McGuckin and the pay-to-play cartel
are abnormal pariahs who "like to video 12 year old girls."
Did McGuckin Forget The Video Was
Commissioned And Paid For By His Campaign?
One of the reasons it probably won't work in the current
instance is the video McGuckin is complaining about was
commissioned two years ago by McGuckin's own campaign
committee, with publication rights ceded to OCP
by himself and Chairman Gilmore.
"If Councilman McGuckin's daughter was among the folks in the
background during public speeches being presented by Bellu and
Clement, that is McGuckin's responsibility, not OCP's,"
said editor Richard Schiff.
