"Frankly, It Stinks!!"

Commentator Rich Bombardier Says Costly GOP Politics In Schools Is "A New Low For Berkeley Taxpayers"

In The OC Observer, Bombardier Says $2 Million No-Bid Yezzi Contracts Are "Biggest Waste Of Public Funds In Berkeley Township History," Charges Schools Dominated By Republican Party Bosses

Editor's Note: The following commentary by Berkeley's Rich Bombardier, published today in the Ocean County Observer, gives us some new insights into the conspiracy of greed that now dominates the operation of the Berkeley schools as it does much of Ocean County. The school boards are controlled by officers of the Republican Club and the Republican Committee.

"Eternal Vigilance Is The Price Of Liberty"

John Curran's observation more than 200 years ago, that "eternal vigilance is the price of liberty" has never been more true. The citizens of Berkeley will probably want to be somewhat more vigilant during the next couple of years than they have been during the last few years. The next opportunity to even the score with the greed conspiracy will  be the Ward Elections in November in both Berkeley and Dover Township. Bombardier's commentary follows:

Amato's $85,000 Job A Reward For Feeding
Greedy GOP Lawyers With Taxpayers Money?

The Republican Party and its constituent local stooges here in Berkeley have apparently hit a new low in ripping off the taxpayers.

Carmen Amato

It’s bad enough that Carmen Amato, council candidate in Ward II, was handed a useless county job that costs taxpayers $85,000 a year as a reward for using taxpayers money to feed greedy Republican lawyers as president of Central Regional school board and chairman of the local Republican Party.

Voted For Every Spending, Tax Increase In Berkeley Schools; Sponsored $2 Million Yezzi No-Bid Contract Payments

Karen Davis

It’s bad enough that Karen Davis, the Republican council candidate in Ward I, and Anthony DiPaola, Republican Club President, were responsible, as members of the Berkeley School Board for eight years, for every spending increase including the biggest waste of public funds in the history of Berkeley Township, the gift of nearly $2 million in “professional” fees on ridiculous no-bid sweetheart contracts to architect Massimo Yezzi, a Dover Republican county committeeman.

April Yezzi Made Central Regional Republican Headquarters

April Yezzi Couldn't Wait To Start Holding Political Meetings On School Property

It’s bad enough that Republican Vice-President Richard Ciullo, the Republican website operator, made the motion to hand April Yezzi, Massimo’s wife (president of the County Women’s Republican Federation) a useless $70,000 assistant business administrator job in the Central Regional school system where Ciullo is a school board member.

Is Berkeley The Only Town In The County To Allow
Blatantly Political Meetings In The Schools?

But now, these clowns have also literally turned Berkeley schools into Republican campaign headquarters as Mrs. Yezzi, fresh from her useless job appointment, is now holding Republican Women’s Federation meetings, including a March “GALA party,” in Central Regional facilities.

Likewise Chairman Amato, who will apparently give taxpayers money to any Republican crony who holds his hand out, is holding Republican county committee meetings in school buildings that have in the past been traditionally non-political.

Taxpayers Should "Understand How Thoroughly The
Schools Have Been Taken Over By The Republican Bosses"

Likewise, DiPaola and Ciullo, who never saw a crony payoff they didn’t like, are holding Republican Club meetings on school property each month, so the taxpayers can understand how thoroughly the schools in our community have been taken over by the Republican party bosses.

The taxpayers will continue to pay through the nose for all of this. Frankly, it stinks!
