Will There Ever Be A Two Party System Again If Beachwood
Democrats Throw Another Election?
There Should
Have Been A Huge Uproar Over Lacey-Morris Job Scam, But Former
Dem Chair, Under Chairman Gilmore'$
Thumb In Cu$hy
Election Board Job, Has Done Nothing So Far
Will Jim And Harold Get To Work Every Day, And Will They Find
Something To Do When They Get There?
By now, there
should have been dozens of letters to the editor from Beachwood
citizens decrying the ambush of Beachwood taxpayers by Freeholder
James Lacey, Councilman Ronald Roma, Chairman George Gilmore,
Freeholder Jack Kelly and Mayor Harold Morris, all Republicans, and
every one of them except Gilmore directly elected by the voters as a
guardian of the public interest.
Two Party Checks & Balances Are Supposed To Work - Right?
After all, isn't
that how two party checks and balances are supposed to work? When the
party in power insults the intelligence of the public and engages in
behavior that makes taxpayers want to throw up, isn't the loyal
opposition supposed to provide the loyal opposition?
Not in Beachwood
or in Ocean County, it's not.
The Beachwood
Mayor and Council, all Republicans, didn't need an administrator. But
they created the $110,000 job anyway, and gave it to Freeholder James
Lacey, who just happened to be in between jobs.
Another Political Hack At
The Fire And First Aid Academy
Five months
later, the Ocean County Fire and First Aid Academy, already loaded
with political hacks paid big salaries to do next to nothing, provided
Beachwood Mayor Harold Morris with a useless $55,000 job which enables
him to gets lots of sleep in the daytime.
All the Democrats
needed to do to have a clear shot at winning two council seats in
Beachwood is conduct a textbook campaign denoting the Lacey-Morris job
scam as a useless waste of taxpayers money.
Beachwood Taxpayers Need First Aid, But They Don't Get It

Freeholder Jack
Kelly, determined guardian of the public purse, was point man on
Lacey-Morris job scam |
But all there has
been is dead silence from the Democrats. Former Democrat County
Chairman Al Santoro, a Beachwood resident, never said a word because,
some said, he owes his $105,000 job at the county election board to
election board chair and GOP county chair George Gilmore.
Beachwood
Democrat candidate Vincent Santoro, himself a public employee, also
never said a word, even though he was supposedly schooled in vigorous
two-party politics by Al.
The other
Beachwood Democrat council candidate, Charles Amorosi, also never said
a word, even though he is, cosmic coincidences and small worlds aside,
employed by the same county election board as Gilmore and the elder
Santoro.
Amorosi Deserts Beachwood Taxpayers And Resigns

Beachwood GOP
Councilman Ronald Roma, determined guardian of the public purse
and elegantly compensated employee of the county Juvenile
Shelter, was point man on Lacey-Morris job
flim-flam |
In fact, Amorosi
resigned as a candidate recently, leaving the ticket one election
board employee short, as Beachwood taxpayers, duped again, yearned for
an opportunity to get a clear shot at Lacey and Morris.
The Santoro's
know they need another candidate to fight the battle of silence in
Beachwood and Al Santoro says it's very difficult to find someone to
run, even though the chances of winning are good.
List Of Registered Democrats,
With Phone Numbers, Costs $25
A list of
registered Beachwood Democrats, all 558 of them, complete with
telephone numbers and addresses, is available to the Santoro's from a
local mail house for a payment of $25.
The deadline for
getting the Beachwood Democratic committee together to select a
replacement candidate is September 24th.
Soap Suds: Will Jim And Harold Get To Work Every Day, Etc?
Will the
Santoro's meet their responsibilities to the two party system? Will Al
and Vincent defy papa Gilmore and actually run a campaign in Beachwood
to redeem the screwing suffered by the taxpayers of their beloved
community? Will Jim and Harold get to work every day, and will they
find something to do when they get there? The answers to these
questions as the world turns on the voters of Beachwood and hands them
another bad break - on OCP soon.
