"Never
Have So Few Thrown So Much Bull At So Many"
The Bottom Line Is
"To Throw Them All Out Of Office" - Bill McPhail
Lake Ridge Resident & Former
Councilman Bill McPhail says: "If they can't handle a small item
like taping council meetings, how can we expect them to handle a
multimillion-dollar budget?"

Dover Council
President McGuckin, greedy pay-to-play lawyer whose
partner, Jerry Dasti, is Chairman of the Ocean County
Republican Finance Committee, is up for re-election in Dover's
Ward IV
in November |
Editor's Note: Lake Ridge resident Bill McPhail, a former Republian
councilman where he lived in North Jersey, is an experienced public
official who has been through it all before.
McPhail was an
independent candidate for the old Dover Township Committee, and is an
advocate of careful spending, economical and productive local
government and conservative fiscal policies.
In previous
commentaries, Bill McPhail criticized the artificial turf bonds school
system bailout as "another multi million dollar rip-off" and called
for the defeat of the Republican ward council members running for
re-election in November.
McPhail's most recent
commentary, published in the Ocean County Observer, was on the August
27th editorial page.
Here it is on OCP:
To the editor:
To paraphrase a famous saying, "Never
have so few thrown so much bull at so many."
Told The Governing
Body For Ten Years
I hate to repeat myself, but I told the
governing body for at least the past ten years how several towns in
North Jersey not only tape, but broadcast the council meetings live at
no cost to the taxpayers and the towns.
Volunteers do the job and are trained by
the local cable company, which also supplies the equipment.
The governing body eventually
established a modest budget for supplies (tapes, etc.) using some of
the commission money they got from the cable company.
McGuckin Is Too
Incompetent To Handle Meeting Tapes, How Can He Handle The
Multi-Million-Dollar Budget?
The bottom line is Council President
McGuckin (no taping this year) and the rest of the Dover Township
Council along with the mayor are too incompetent to handle a small
item like this, so how can we expect them to handle a
multi-million-dollar township budget?
Bottom Line Is To
Throw Them All Out!
The bottom line is to throw them all out
of office.
The change of government in 2003 was OK.
The election results were a disaster.
