It is
disappointing but not really surprising that we now have hard evidence
of the damage done by the Republican patronage organization that now
controls our schools in Berkeley.
Central Regional Cited By State DOE Three
Years In A Row For Low Test Scores
According
to the Asbury Park Press, both Central Regional High School and
Central Regional Middle School have been cited for a three year period
of unacceptable test scores and are now designated by the state
Department of Education as “Schools In Need Of Improvement.”
The
climate of political rewards and rampant greed that permeates the
administration of Berkeley schools now dominated by officers of the
local Republican Club, has now trickled down to the performance of
some of the students.

Strong
rumors of deteriorating morale among the faculty and administration
are apparently true.
Why would
you work hard when political parasites like Carmen Amato, Richard
Ciullo and Anthony DiPaola, all school board members and all officers
in the Republican Club, have proved repeatedly that it’s not how
talented and dedicated you are, but whose campaigns you contributed
to, and who you suck up to that determine your eligibility for a job
or a promotion.
Connection Between Political
Prostitution And Low Test Scores
We now
know for sure that there is an indelible connection between political
prostitution and low test scores; between consistent hypocrisy and low
credibility levels.
Yezzi Contracts Are "Tragic Misuse Of Taxpayers Money"

Yezzi's and other GOP patronage favorites $$Millions$$,
compliments of Berkeley taxpayers |
The award
of $2 million in no-bid Berkeley school contracts to a Republican
architect by these folks is a tragic misuse of taxpayers money that
sends a bad message.
$70,000 Job For Yezzi's Wife Is "An Abomination"
The
appointment of the architect’s wife to a $70,000 job with Central
Regional is an abomination, and proof that the Republicans who control
the schools do not care very much about the students, or the parents
or the taxpayers.
Why The Schools Cost So Much
And Provide "Flawed Education"
Which is
why the schools cost so much and provide such flawed education.
Probationary status for the Central Regional schools is just one more
indication that the Republican Club school board members ought to go
away and stop ripping off the taxpayers of our community.
