Berkeley Ward II council candidate Carmen Amato was a poster boy for overdevelopment approvals when he was a member and, for three years, chairman of the Berkeley Township Zoning Board of Adjustment that handed out overdevelopment variances by the dozens.

But now candidate Amato describes his dismal overdevelopment record as "fighting against overdevelopment" in a flier that includes a letter from Senator Leonard T. Connors Jr. backing Amato up on the phony "fighting against overdevelopment" claim.

In Dover Township, pay-to-play lawyer Gregory McGuckin, a candidate for re-election to his seat on the town council, describes himself and fellow GOP ward candidates Maria Maruca, Maurice Hill and Brian Kubiel as "fiscal conservatives" after sponsoring the largest spending increase in the history of Dover Township.

This after campaign promises to "cut wasteful spending" and "hold the line on taxes" as they approved wasteful spending on pay-to-play lawyers and other crony feedings that produced the second largest tax increase in Dover Township history last December 8th.

McGuckin and other greedy lawyers, engineers and architects have been using their political connections to enrich themselves at the expense of the taxpayers in dozens of Ocean County communities.

Haines, Bellu, Clement Lying Again?

Also enter Dover Republican stooges Juan Bellu, Virginia Haines and Boss Richard C. Clement, the former police chief, who all lied when they charged that OCP commentator and veteran Republican DMUA commissioner Robert K. Haelig Jr., a Republican reform leader, is a "campaign consultant" for Democratic candidates.

And, in Jackson Township, Anne Updegrave, a political flunky whose main purpose in the 2005 campaign is to make pay-to-play lawyers George Gilmore and McGuckin attorneys for the township if the Republicans take control of the government, is charging the Democratic opposition with raising taxes when the record shows the Jackson tax rate is down considerably from the last Republican administration.

Gilmore is the Republican county chairman who funds Jackson Republican campaigns.

The lies are pretty obvious to anyone who knows the facts, but Gilmore and McGuckin, whose law partner, Jerry Dasti, is the chairman of the county Republican finance committee, have amassed millions of dollars in campaign cash to circulate the misinformation in dozens of slick campaign fliers.

Many fliers and misinformation in them are prepared this year by "Doctor" Jack Moriarty, the accused extortionist who tried to blackmail Dover Mayor Paul Brush into resigning as a candidate two years ago by threatening him with false insurance fraud charges.

Also active in the preparation of false information are Central Regional school board member Richard Ciullo who had to take down two websites he operates because of offensive material content.

The campaign lie issue is part of the corruption problem which Gilmore and McGuckin and other pay-to-play lawyers and their army of stooges and flunkies are among the greediest perpetrators.

This is the first of many articles dealing with campaign lie corruption and how it enriches the Empire Of Greed controlled by Gilmore and McGuckin and their greed associates, a few of whom are are actually Democrats who benefit from Gilmore's generosity with recycled taxpayers money.
