Some say the uncharitable reaction may have
been generated by a flash poll from pay-to-play lawyer George Gilmore, the
Republican county chairman who could be named township attorney in Brick if Acropolis
wins.
When the Republicans won in Dover, Gilmore and
pay-to-play lawyer Gregory McGuckin used taxpayers money to hire 40 lawyers
resulting in the largest spending increase ever in that community.
The flash poll reportedly indicated that
OCP HardCopy disclosures about the scurvy back room deals with Gilmore
and the greedy lawyers who would be an expensive part of an Acropolis
administration had changed the momentum of the campaign towards Mayor Joseph
Scarpelli, the Democratic incumbent.

Similar To One Circulated By Boss Clement
Cartine admitted his intention was homophobic
when he talked about the "Greenwich Village Life Style," and that he really
meant to bash gays as he lied about the bogus porn and drug charges he and
Acropolis made against OCP editor Richard Schiff.
The press release circulated by Cartine is
similar to a press release circulated last week by Dover Republican Boss
Richard Clement, the former police chief whose drug of choice is ethyl
alcohol, distributed in vending machines dispensing beer in cans at police
headquarters.
It is not known whether Clement, who used the
same "Greenwich Village lifestyle" phrase in his version of the bogus
charges, would eventually be as candid as Cartine in acknowledging his
charges were intended to inflame voters against gays and other minorities.
