Whitewashed Moriarty Extortion Scandal; Now Gilmore & Kelaher Pay "Doctor" Moriarty Big Bucks To Concoct Lies For GOP Candidates
- Including Former Prosecutor Kelaher
Former Prosecutor Thomas Kelaher was nominated to
replace disgraced tax cheat Gregory McGuckin as the
political machine’s mayoral candidate in Toms River.
Kelaher’s first campaign literature claims he “kept
faith with his community” even as the same
literature tries to paper over the enormous damage
done to the community’s integrity by the
Gilmore-controlled “Republican” Council and puppet
“Democrat” Mayor Paul Brush.
GOP Council Raised Taxes By Record 48%
The Kelaher literature, published by the greedy
political machine of Republican Chairman George
Gilmore, falsely claims the
Gilmore Republicans “cut taxes,” but the record shows the
Republican council monopoly actually raised taxes by
a record 48%, the largest three year tax increase in
the community’s history.
Kelaher Never Investigated Abuses

The record also shows that
Kelaher never investigated or prosecuted a single abuse
by tax cheat Chairman Gilmore’s $120 million political
empire, and never generated a single grand jury
presentment of repeated OPRA law
violations and a dozen different varieties of “legal”
bribery and political payoff abuses the media and many
outraged Republican and Democrat critics have crusaded against.

The misinformation in Kelaher’s campaign literature was concocted by former
Democrat Chairman John Moriarty, the disbarred Medicaid
swindler whose investigation for extortion and blackmail
of Mayor Paul Brush as a candidate was whitewashed by Kelaher who, tongue tucked firmly into his prosecutorial
cheek, referred the Moriarty extortion scandal to
Governor Jim McGreevey’s attorney general, Peter “See No
Evil” Harvey, who promptly buried the Moriarty extortion
case.

Kelaher never followed up
on the Moriarty extortion case and, a short time later,
“Doctor” Moriarty, as he likes to call himself, was
hired by Chairman Gilmore, ABC Scofflaw and local GOP Chairman Rick Clement,
disgraced Council President McGuckin and Lottery Travel
Princess Virginia Haines, president of the local
Republican Club.

Since 2005, Gilmore, McGuckin,
tax cheats Steven Acropolis and Harold Morris, mayoral
candidates in Brick and Beachwood, have used recycled
taxpayers money to pay Moriarty more
than $250,000 to concoct and publish campaign lies as taxes
increased big time in all three communities.
Moriarty Payoffs
Proliferate
The Kelaher campaign team,
oblivious to Kelaher’s whitewash of extortion charges
against Moriarty, is paying Moriarty big bucks to run their
direct mail and letters campaign, including baseless smears
of everybody who ever criticized Gilmore, Acropolis,
McGuckin, Moriarty, Clement or Haines.
