Is Liberal Chris Christie Worse Than Incumbent Corzine?

Can Christie Still Run For Governor After $52 Million Ashcroft Payoff??

Boss Gilmore Salivates At Prospect Of Similar Payoffs - For HIM - If Christie Is Governor

U. S. Attorney and former George Bush fund raiser Chris Christie was the favorite to run for governor against the liberal Democrat incumbent, Jon Corzine.

Christie kept his investigations out of Ocean County except for token Democrats like former Mayor Joe Scarpelli of Brick. Christie never scratched Boss Gilmore's political machine, and was promised the nomination by Gilmore, the most powerful Republican Boss in New Jersey.

But serious questions have been raised about Christie's ethics, including raised eyebrows about the $52 million payday for former Attorney General John Ashcroft.

Gilmore Salivates At Prospect Of
“Governor Christie” Patronage - - For HIM!

The Ashcroft contract, for 18 months "work," calls for payments of $895 per hour plus $750,000 a month flat fee, plus $250,000 a month for airfare, lodging & meals.

$52 Million Ashcroft Contract May Be
The Largest Political Payoff In American History

As conservative Republicans became mildly nauseated, Boss Gilmore salivated at the prospect of getting Christie elected governor so he can begin accessing big gobs of similar patronage and payoffs - - - for HIM!
